The NeuroPolicy Affinity Group would like to invite you to join us for our second event of the fall.  We are very excited to have with us Dr. Lisa Lee, the Executive Director of the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.  She will be discussing bioethical issues related to new advances in neuroscience and health, in a talk titled:

“Gray Matters: Neuroscience and Ethics”

Bio: Lisa M. Lee, PhD, MA, MS, is the Executive Director of the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues.  Lee, who has a PhD from Johns Hopkins University, an MA in educational psychology from the University of Colorado, and an MS in bioethics from Alden March Bioethics Institute at Albany Medical College, is an epidemiologist and public health ethicist.

The focus of Lee’s current work is bioethics pedagogy and public health ethics. Lee serves as associate editor for the Journal of Bioethical Inquiry and Public Health Reviews. She serves on the Executive Board of the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.  Dr Lee is Adjunct Professor at the Center for Biomedical Ethics Education & Research at Albany Medical College, where she teaches ethics. She is the recipient of the 2014 Pellegrino Medal for excellence in bioethics.
