SCAN Retreat

Each year, the Center for Neuroscience and Society (CNS) hosts a half-day retreat for all current and past students in the SCAN program.  The 8th Annual SCAN Retreat took place in March 31, 2023.

Students, alumni and faculty come together for lunch, followed by a series of brief student presentations. These presentations focus on the ways that students are incorporating neuroscience into their studies and planned scholarly or professional work. They are followed by a dialog with faculty, the keynote speaker and other students exploring the promise and the challenges of the these interdisciplinary projects.  The day ends with a keynote lecture and a wine and cheese reception.

See below for examples of student presentations and discussions from a variety of fields.
