As Pennsylvania’s population grows older, maintaining good health and quality of life for older adults has become a community initiative. But, a major challenge is that more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Researchers have identified several hallmark Alzheimer’s brain abnormalities and risk factors, but many questions still remain. Join experts in aging and Alzheimer’s research from Penn Medicine and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine to delve into the mysteries of the aging brain, this debilitating disease and the impact it has on families and communities.
